I don't like that Sony. Get a Samsung 900NF, it's a better value. It's practically the same monitor (refresh rate, type of screen, visuals), besides the obvious (brand name). It's about $130 cheaper if you look around.

Why would he want a GeForce when he's getting an AIW? Nobody gets an AIW without knowing its features...

I imagine you know what you're getting in the AIW so I won't comment there but I would personally get a different card.

Other than that just fklosters comment;

<< No burner? >>

But if you don't want one of those...that looks pretty damn good.

The Samsung 900NF is a pretty nice monitor but if you don't mind the extra I'd stick to the sony.

hey, thats for the quick responses guys..

bout the burner, An existing PlexWriter 8x4x32 is goin' in that system...

and bout the Video... my bro has been using the ATI AIW 8MB card for almost 2 years, and he hasn't had many problems with it so, he wants ATI

and i might be doing some Photoshop/video editing work on the new machine so i think the features the AIW offers are exceptional...

And since my bro doesn't upgrade often... he wants a GOOOD monitor... (his friend has a G500...and loves it) So my bro is stuck on Sony i guess... i dont mind :)

Anyways, thanks for the responses...... more are welcomed...

Looks good, but I personally would get a Toshiba 12x DVD over the Pioneer 16x. The Pioneer is too noisy for some people. The 16x will only benefit you when ripping anyway, not playing DVD's.

Great mobo
Maybe save some $$$ by getting a Duron and overclock the $hit out of it like many of us are. I just built a system (for the wife) using the same mobo with a Duron 700 and it hits 950 easy; and 1,000mhz I expect to hit tonight after some updating and tweaking.

Other than it missing a Plextor 12x10x32 CD drive and the added case, it is EXACTLY the specs I been thinking of. :)

Good luck in building it and getting it running. That is a sweet system my friend.

Nice monitor!

You really should get some kind of CD-RW. I personally recommend Plextor's Plexwriter 12x/10x/32x.

Have fun!:)
