Only a few more compnents and i should be ready to build my new rig. so far I have desided on the following components.
1. AMD 3500+ winchester core --279.00
2. DFI LANPARTY Norce4 SLI-DR mother board --250.00
3. Corsair XMS seriies 184 pin 512x 2 Ram -- 250.00
4. BFG Geforce 6800 GT (PCI - Express) -- 489.00
5. Maxtor 300GB harddrive with 16mb buffer, NCQ and SATA II --191.00
I really dont know what to do about a power supply, both optical drives and the case. Iam especialy clueless on the power supply because I want to eventually turn this into an SLI rig and dont know if i need a different type of power supply for PCI express motherboards. So far my total is $1489.00. Id like to keep the price under $2000 dollars. Id really like to buy a nice case and a nice power supply. But iam not to concerned about having the greatest optical drives. I dont want crappy ones either, so two nice middle of the road optical drives would be nice. If there is any one out there who can recomend some more parts to me i would appreciate it. Also any opions or tips you can give me on my currently selected parts would be great. Thanks for the help.
