In a month or so I will be buying a new PC, however I can't decide on the parts really (there is so many options it makes your brains want to explode). I will be using this PC mainly for general use and gaming (which at least helps me decide in favour of the AMD 64 S939 platform). The budget I am limited to is some 2500 euros (have to buy everything from printer to screen to input devices) which is pretty much equal to what you would get for $ 2500 in US stores.
Overclocking is also not something I'm into heavily (hence the choice for air instead of water/phase change) but OCing parts slightly should be possible in the new rig.
What I'm currently looking at:
Processor:
AMD Athlon 64 3800+ (Venice core)
Processor cooling:
Thermalright XP-120 with Papst 4412 FGL 120mm fan
Motherboard:
DFI Lanparty NF4 SLI-DR (not sure about this one, but someone said it's one of the best)
Memory:
Twinmos 2x 512MB dual channel kit
Video Card:
Asus Radeon X800 XL 256MB DDR3 (PCI-e, 2x DVI, ViVo), AX800XL/2DTV (totally not sure about this one, there is a zillion cards to choose from. Video in is a pro btw, but not necessary)
Video Card Cooling:
Zalman VF700-Cu
TFT:
Xerox XA7-19i-8ms (19", 8ms, D-sub/DVI, Silver/Black)
Hard Drives:
2x Western Digital Caviar WD2500JD, 250GB (7200rpm, SATA, 8MB)
Case:
Antec Performance One P160 (not sure about this one, but I like the clean look of the case and the fact that it uses 120mm fans which means it cools well yet doesn't make extreme amounts of noise like my current case does) Also planning on getting another 120mm papst fan with this as it only comes with one space
PSU:
Tagan TG480-U01 (480W)
DVD Burner:
NEC ND-3520 (16x dual-layer)
Sound Card:
Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS
Speakers:
Logitech Z-5500 Digital (5.1)
Printer:
Canon Pixma iP4000
Keyboard:
Logitech UltraX Flat Keyboard
Mouse:
Logitech MX1000
Floppy Drive:
Samsung 3,5" Floppy Drive
Thanks already for any and all help you can give me
