Background: will be used for simple daily tasks and moderate gaming. Games include most Steam games (HF2, TF, MOD2) and more heavily gaming with Starcraft 2.

I also will not be over clocking anything and be running it stock.

CPU: Intel Core i5-750 2.66GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor

MOBO: ASUS P7P55 WS SuperComputer with NF200 ATX Intel Motherboard

Video Card: 2 x SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 5750 100284L Video Card
(i'm not sure if crossfire is the best way to go with what i'm doing or just buy a single card?)

Monitor: looking to get a aprox. 23" widescreen and keep one of my 19"
(Current monitor setup is 2 x 19")

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory

HDD : Intel X25-M Mainstream SSDSA2M080G2XXX 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
(this will be Operating System, is 80g enough for OS? i have a 2nd for Data storage and NAS for backup)

Power Supply:CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-750HX 750W Power Supply
(i think 750w should be enough, i only thing one rail is enough as well??, one thing i do want is a modular PSU if any other suggestions)

Case: Antec Three Hundred Black Computer Case
(just want a simple case with some upgrade capacity)

Nice build. My one suggestion is instead of the 2 5750's grab yourself a GTX460 instead and SLI it at a later date if you feel the need. The only other thing is that the motherboard is probably overkill, but if you like it go for it. Maybe consider taking the $15 step up from the 750 to the 760 also.

Seems good except for the Mobo and GPU setup. If you go with a single-GPU motherboard and a single-GPU, like the GA-P55A-UD3 and the Radeon 5870, you'll get a overall better gaming experience without the CFX hassle. That would also let you step down to something like the 650HX.

thanks for the advice. i'll probably step down to the GA-P55A-UD3 makes more sense and also has USB 3.0 if i ever need it.

looks like i'll just get 1 video card, have to do a little more research now.

not sure if it matters but i'll be running Win 7 64bit

So its a toss up between the two GPUs. with the current setup.

GIGABYTE GV-N460OC-1GI GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

or

GIGABYTE GV-R577SO-1GD Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

any input?

thanks.

460 is the better buy. Might just be me, but I'd wait on the SSD to drop in price. It'll make general computing much faster, but it's not essential for that or gaming, unless you can find a decent deal (Best Buy has deals on both Intel X25-V and M, check the hot deals section if you haven't already). The extra $$$ over a 7200 could be better spent on a better video card or saved for a future upgrade or SSD when prices come down.
