can someone tell me what kind of memory i should buy on this site (i want 1gig min.)

in terms of ram unless you are overclocking you can probably get by just fine with a couple 512mb value sticks. corsair value select is a good pick and is recommended highly for non-OCers. i picked up the Ultra ram from tigerdirect.ca which is $140/gig+shipping&taxes and it has been great for me - again no OCing and i don't mess with memory timings etc.

everything in your list looks nice, you will undoubtedly get some opinions that may differ but it looks like a real decent build.

Make sure to get the 90nm 3500 processor. Also, dump the soundblaster for a cheaper and less hastle Turtle beach santa cruz, about the same sound wise, unless you're a complete audiophile, waste of money that Audigy. Do NOT GET A CHORDLESS MOUSE AND KEYBOARD COMBO, get the MX510 from logictec and any keyboard will do. Wait for the CHaintech Mobo Nforce 4, its not SLI, but to be honest, you wont need it. Wait a little longer and get the X800XL vid card for 299$ and it will perform like a 6800GT. Other than that, everything else looks good. Get the OCZ platinum rev. 2 3200 memory, its 1 gig optimized for dual channel at 2-2-2-5 1t timings. Then you're good to go. Wait to build your system about a month from now and you should be able to get all the components without scarcity and cheaper prices.

The thing with wireless mice is that there will always be the transmitting and the receiving, and there will always be a slight delay in between the two. Some peopel dont notice it, my freind doesnt. I do. Its all in how your play.

so cordless mouse with FastRF will still lag in games??

if you're a hardcore FPSer, get a mouse with a tail. ha ha ha
otherwise you can use your cordless as an excuse why you only had 99 kills instead of 100. 😉 if you're picking up tables with the gravity gun like me, and taking out 2-3 guys at a time, i don't think accuracy is a problem. 😀 not to start anything here but DAMN I LOVE HL2.

HL2 sucks! no im kidding its cool, I like CS Source better 😛 IM into Multi more then single player games.
