Upgrading main parts of system for first time since I put together p2 300 sl2w8, want to do this right...want opinions on whole system:

Already have:
19" monitor, 20gb 7200rpm WD, 48x12x48 Memorex w/ LiteOn bios, 48x Memo CDrom

Will be getting:
P4 2.53Ghz with Retail HS and artic silver3
512mb Corsair PC3200 Cas2
Asus P4B533-E
Antec Performance plus 1080AMG case, 430Watt, 2 rear fans(plus PSU fan), one side, and will add a front fan.
WD Special Edition 80gb with 8mb cache
Gainward Geforce4 Ti4200 128mb (changed from abit by suggestion...same price too=)
and maybe a DVD drive

So it would have that stuff, 2 HDs(maybe 3 if I go for a 2nd 80gb for raid) and 2 Cd type drives(CDrw + DVD or CD)

Would hope for 3+ghz, but If I dont quite make it that high thats ok too.
Mainly for gaming of course =)
So...Opinions, critiques, suggestions?

for the 4200ti... get a Gainward or MSI card... they both oc very well to almost 4600 speeds (i own both in 2 different machines).. and the price is about the same as the abit and instead of the P4B533-E board.. i rather go w/ the P4B533-V board... the memory controller on the 845Gperforms better than the 845E's so oc'ing the memory should give better performance on it

stick with the e model...the v variant is highly overpriced...unless you need all the extra gizmos stick with the one you have listed as it is unlikley you will oc so high as to reander the 3:4 ratio useless...

The little minor amount the i845g's memory controller is better is highly neglible...

If you get dvd-rom get the liteon 16x and dump that POS memo cd-rom...That liteon dvd will render that thing obsolete. fastest dae ripping and vd ripping around ad reads dvds at 48x whereas I bet the memo does not actually do it...
