Building new maching ABIT or Gigabyte

I have a friend about to build next system. Is going with the prescott chip, he really likes the abit AI7, I really like gigabyte and recommended the ga-8ik1100. Could someone who knows alot about these to boards, tell me the best one to go with. And what are the major advantages and disadvantages of each. Or on another note if you could recommend another board around the same price range. Thanks

Either one should be fine. I'm partial to Abit, but I've also used gigabyte mobos that have lasted years and went on to last some more productive years for someone else. It should be easy to find comparative reviews around the web just google or altavista on- Abit AI7 review -likewise for the Gigabyte.
