You don't really need that 500 watt PSU, or the Arctic Silver (unless you want to stay extra cool, which is always a good thing).

What games will you be playing on this thing, and how long do you want to keep the parts before an upgrade?

i will prolly be playing games like hl2 and more of the newer games. I dont really want to have to upgrade anytime soon.. as long as possible would be best

Troop, I started a similar topic the other day, and received a lot of helpful and insightful feedback from various people. Some people directed me towards a 754 based system while others are suggesting a 939 based system along with PCI-E and and SLI capable motherboard. Certainly compelling arguments for both, as well as a significant price differential between the two options.

here is my recommendation, msi neo2 platinum would be better than the via chipset based motherboard you chose.

neo2 platinum is what a lot of peole seem to be using to oc. i would suggest a good motherboard prob not Via but instead nvidia with sli or pci-e that you'll be able to upgrade once you want to. 3000+ or 3200+ are cheaper and seem to do well overclocking, but since you are new to oc i say get a good socket 939 mobo. if in a while you'll have another budget for a new computer, go for the 754 and what you are looking at will work just fine. get the neo2 plat. 939 and 3500+ if you can swing it.

A 6800 GT is probably best for that, as you chose, but a 6800 with a 16 pipe unlock is not a bad choice either.

This memory is really nice, and it has a great price.

Depending on whether you would like to overhaul or upgrade will decide between 754 and 939, respectively.
