Building new computer with 8K7A

I'm building a new computer with Epox 8K7A...I know there are a few problems with it but if anybody can give me some pointers about it before building it so I can avoid several issues, it would be helpful. Thanks.

I'm sure most people have the same specs too.
Here are my specs for it:

Enlight 7237 ATX 300 Watts
Gigabyte Geforce 2 MX 32MB SDRAM w/TV out 4X AGP
Mitsumi Floppy Drive 1.44MB 3.5 Inch
IBM 40 GB 7200RPM Deskstar 60GXP Ultra ATA/100
Toshiba DVD ROM, 16X DVD, 48X CD ROM
LinksKey/Realtek PCI Ethernet Card 10/100
Creative Lab Soundblaster Live! 5.1 sound card
Retail AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1.33ghz/266 FSB w/HSF
Samsung DDRAM 128MB 16X64 PC-2100 (2)

I actually just bought an 8K7A on monday....RMA'd it yesterday 🙁 I know one of the biggest issues is getting a minimum volatage supplied from your PowerSupply....and if that is not occuring you will get lockups etc.

I couldn't get my system (8K7A, AMD 1.4, G2 Pro) up and running no matter what I tried...and I've built 4 systems...so I'm not a newbie. I finally gave up and returned the board....got an MSI K7 Master....working great now.

Here is a great resource for the 8K7A Link

Good luck!

Hey
I just built my rig using the Epox 8K7A+ and it went together very smoothly! Just make sure that you load the latest VIA 4-in-1 drivers (load VIA 4-in-1 first "except" for the VIA AGP driver).. make sure and get the AMD AGP driver from the AMD www site.

I did get a larger PS because I read that some people had probs with 300-350W. I went for the dual fanned Enermax EG-465PVE (431 watts)...

So far the system is solid.
