Building new computer, quick question

What do I need to do to take an existing harddrive out of an old computer, and
put it in a new one. I'm building a new computer, but I'm going to use some existing
items.(It's for my dad) I heard something about deleting the IDE drivers. The OS is
Win98

Having tried to keep the existing data on a hard drive I re-used I can tell you from personal experience that you'll want to re-format the whole darned thing and start with a fresh, clean slate (on both win98 & win2k). Otherwise you're setting yourself up for hours of headaches and will eventually do it anyway. Back up what you want to save and then go from there...
