I am looking at getting an AMD most likely, but does it matter what supply I get as long as its powerful enough? Im going to be getting a 600-700watt possibly, not sure if I need it, but Im getting a newer cpu (3ghz or more and overclocking a tad) and not sure if I going DDR 3 ram board or DDR2 (I have 8gigs and will have Win7), and will be getting a top of the line graphics card, either radeon or nvidia.

Just wanting to make sure that voltages are interchangable, that power is power. Sorry for the newbness on that.

Intel and AMD use the same ATX standard for consumer CPUs...so it doesn't matter what processor you are getting to match a PSU to it.

Cool, power wise, 600 enough for the newer processors and a new graphics card? Dont know exactly the one but a near top line radeon or nvidia

for just a single CPU and a single graphics card, yes 600W is enough...if you buy a quality PSU and if you aren't going crazy overclocking.
