 Well I have all my hardware picked out. What I am wondering is what will I need in the line of cables and so forth. The processor comes with fan and heatsink. Will I need anything else to mount the heatsink to the processor and mounthing the fan? All items I will be ordering are 'Retail' versions. The only 'OEM' version is the WD HDD I am getting. Will all 'Retail' versions come with included cables? And OEM hardware with no cables?

Like I said, this is my first go at this, so any light you may be able to shed would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Jason

The motherboard will come with data cables and sometimes with power adapters to power Serial ATA drives. You can hit Newegg.com and look up your board and check out the photos to see what's included.

If you need any help with the mechanical assembly, this photo guide might help. Also skim the resources page in particular, if you need suggestions on keeping the fresh Windows installation from catching worms straight off your modem. Average time to infection on unprotected system: currently about 20 minutes.
