AMD Athlon 64 3200+
MSI "K8N Neo4-F"
1GB Kingmax or Kingston Dual Channel Kit
WD 80GB IDE HD
XFX Geforce 6600GT PCI-E card
Cheapo LED case

Cost is somewhat of a concern. I realize the K8N Neo4-F mobo is relatively new, but its' also relatively inexpensive. Any major problems/concerns for this one?

Since it's my first build, I'm not planning on doing any OC until I start getting a really good feel for the system. At stock speeds, should I have any problems with the above parts?

I'm really just looking to have a decent, cost-effective system that will run games above average and won't be a headache for me to deal with in the future.

Thoughts?

That looks great!

I would recommend getting an SATA hard drive, the few dollars more than the IDE are well worth it.

And if you go with a cheapo case get one without the power supply or ditch the one that comes in it, and get a good high quality 400+ watt PS. The PS is the most important component in the system

Looks just fine, except perhaps if possible, get a larger capacity HD, saving you buying another HD when you realise that you need the extra space.

May also want to get a case that comes with a PSU that have enough total Amp. on the 12V rail(s) -- at least 25 Amps.

For the harddrive, for $10-15 more you can nearly double the size. You will tjhank yourself later.

For the Video Card, DONT buy XFX. They suck. Get MSI or Gigabyte for ~ the same price.
