Building my first... need a little help

I'm giving my factory Micron XP to my father, and decided that I want build my own system. From reading all these posts, I just couldn't resist trying to build a kick ass machine myself. I have a few components in mind, like I know I'm going to get an AMD chip with DDR memory modules. Doe s anyone know if the palomino will run on the current 266 DDR motherboards? Or do you think they will need new motherboards to support them? I think my biggest dilema is the case. My first priority it to make this machine as quiet as possible. I actually have a Quiet PC 300W PS already, which I'll take out of my micron whne I give it my dad. What is the most quiet case out there, that also looks good and hopefully keeps things cool as possible (I realize there is a trade off). I was eyeing those aluminum coolermaster 201's? the price is high, but I would get one if it isn't loud, but with four fans, how could it not be? What are your opinions on quiet cases? thanks -
