Building my first comp and need help with the parts

that is a combo drive doesnt burn dvd's reads em though.
get corsair value ram.
sorry to say but that case is ugly
psu i would get ocz modstream 450w.

looks good -

get corsair/crucial/kingston or mushking valueram for the extra ~$5

get a nec dvd-r/w - 3520 or 3540

that antec psu is fine

and it is a floppy drive, not a floopy drive 😉

welcome to the boards😀

first off, kingmax isnt good at all. go with cosair

next, if youre willing to spend a little more on the psu, go with pc power and cooling. they are THE BEST PSU's EVER. if you go up to $100, you can get their 470 watt psu witch is like other compainies 500+ jobbies. they are the most reliable, cool running psu's ive ever had the pleasure of owning. plus, they have a 5 year warrenty. that really says something about them. hope this helps.

If you only need a DVD-ROM get a Lite-On. I would get COrsair or Crucial. Ugly case. The XClio 450w PSU is a good PSU for cheaper.

lol k.

i am gonna order today and if u guys didnt notice i changed my hard drive cuz the seagate was loud and Maxtor is a decent company.

this is a false statement, do not believe him. kingmax makes GREAT ram, i have personally used many sticks of their ram, and never a problem.

this is not always true....

the seagate has a 5yr warranty where the maxtor has a 3yr warranty. i would get the seagate just because of that. i have had ide drives from just about all manf die on me so i am not biased, it is just that a 5yr warranty is nice in case it does die.

i guess loud is relative, so maybe somebody else can comment on that.

yes every dvd burner will also burn cds. i'd go with the nec, its basically the same price and will be a bit faster. though liteon is also a good brand

that could be, and my statement is only an opinion, but still, ive never had a positive experience with kingmax, and no one i know has either.
