go to coolcases.com Look at the addtronics 6896 cases. Jim modifies them to your hearts delight!

Ahh, building your first system is like your first time.
Just go real slow, I needed 2-3 weeks for my first.
If you get stuck, just holler.
Enjoy yourself, its great when you hit the switch and it works.
Good Luck !!!

Somebody posted a link for the Gladiac Ultral in the Hot Deals forum for $350.00. Buy.com.

You can also get the ram direct from Crucial for a cheaper price. I believe the current price at Crucial's website is $95.00 for 256megs of 1600ddr, so 2 would be $190. It would save you a few bucks and cut out the middleman.

emscomputing has antec cases at some of the best prices. I bought an antec sx830 from them. I think it is a very good case. If you think you will need more than three 5.25 bays, go to the sx1030, also a fine case and ems has a very good price on these also.

Another recommendation for the Antec SX series cases.

I would reconsider the Pioneer, I've heard a lot of people complaining about the noise it produces. I would recommend a Toshiba...

Here's a comparison place to help you out on your dvd drive purchase: COMPARE!!!

Heh, I'm not sure about this, but don't pc1600 run with a 100fsb, and you're picking up a 266 tbird. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

yep, the athlon he picked runs at 266mhz, 133mhz ddr, so pc1600 ddr ram (which runs at 100mhz ddr, effectively 200mhz) is just going to be a bottleneck, pc2100 would go a lot nicer with the system (since it runs at 133mhz ddr, effectively 266 mhz)

1600 ram is more than a bottle neck, the fsb and the ram MUST be syncronized on an Athlon ddr board. If the ram is running only at 100 the fsb can only run at 100 they must be the same. Change your order soon!
