Building MP3 CPU for car help

I am starting to build a MP3 player for my car and had seen an article someplace about building one but don't know where it was. Specifically it told how to build a led or lcd display to scroll the winamp info across for track and title and so on it was small enough to mount on dash to see easily. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

especially in one where you can built the controls/display into the space of the normal radio ....

they make a few lcd kits that are for the pc, there is free software available that you can use to configure the display of the lcd (can't remember the names of the top of my head but crystal fontz comes to mind for some reason.)
