I am trying to put together a shuttle machine, that I can use as my main workstation. I am trying to get the most bang for my buck in this form factor. Searching through pricewatch.com, I found a vendor that I think will be able to provide me with what I need. The primary use of the system will be in web devopment, so I need enough processing power to run Macromedia Studio (Dreamweaver, Fireworks) and Photoshop.

I would like the valuable expertise of the forums to make sure I don't buy incompatible parts:

FIC Ice Cube HU61 -> http://3btech.net/ficicecuhuat.html (I can't tell... do i still need to get the processor too?)

Chiefmax ATI Radeon 9600XT Lite 256mb 8x AGP -> http://3btech.net/chatira96li2.html

Generic Pc3200 1gb 240pin DDR2 RAM --> http://3btech.net/pc4bu101240p.html

Generic 80gb HDD 7200rpm --> http://3btech.net/whlamadate802.html

I have an optical drive (CD-rw) lying around that I'll put into it for that. I'm just wondering... Will the video card work with this form factor / mother board? Do I still need to buy a processor?

If not, any advice in putting together a $500 cube pc would be greatly appreciated.

You'll still need to buy a processor for that box. If you want a Shuttle workstation though, you'll have to buy a shuttle, not a Fic. I'd recommend the ST20G5 or SN25P if you're looking for a AMD 64 socket 939, if you want to stick with a socket 754 like you have picked out, you'll have to go with a SN85.

thanks, that's what i thought, but sometimes it's hard to tell from the descriptions of these smaller vendors.
