Hi guys...first i want to say thank you to all those that helped me in deciding what components to get for my new gaming computer. I will be buying the components in the next week so that i can still get the same prices and just wanted to make sure there are no further suggestions when it comes to compatability issues with the components or any other idea's that would make the system faster without raising the price significantly. I also wanted to ask everyone what they thing about the 8800gt video card and its overheating issues. I have heard that you need to do some work with the fan speed in order fix this problem and i was hoping someone had more information that might be usefull. Here are the components i decided would work for my budget ....

Gigabyte GA-P35-ds3l atx intel motherboard.......$91.99
Seagate barracuda 7200.10 500GB 3.5" IDE Ultra ATA100 hard drive.....$119.00
Intel Core 2 Duo e6550 2.33GHs LGA 775 Processor....$169.99
G.Skill 4GB(2*1GB) 240-pin DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel KIt Memory....99.98
Antec earthwatts EA500 500w Power supply.....$89.99
EVGA GeForce 8800GT Superclocked 512-p3-n802-A1 video card....$289.00
Samsung 20X DVD+- DVD Burner Black SATA model SH-s203b.....$31.99
Antech nine hundred computer case....$89.00

P.S. I am still looking for a 22' wide screen monitor so if anyone has an ideas of what might be good that would also be appreciated

Any particular reason you're going with a PATA hard drive rather than a SATA one?

Ditto. Same question as above....

But nice choice of components on the whole.

Personally I would have go the Q6600 and not got the superclocked 8800GT. After all your paying extra for them to overclock when you can do it yourself!!!
