Ive been out of the whole gaming/computer phase for awhile now, but looking to build a new pc for gaming. Im not sure if i wanna go Intel or AMD. Also my budget for a Mobo is about 100-150. Anyways your advice is much appreciated.

So...what are you looking for? Total builds? Give us a budget.

Mobo suggestions? That can be done. But you're gonna need to pick Intel or AMD.

Generally speaking:

Intel tends to offer superior processors in pretty much all respects right now, both performance and pricing.

Nvidia has the higher end GPUs these days (8800GT is generally considered best buy out there right now), but ATi is competitively priced with their HD38xx series.

The only savings of AMD over Intel or vice versa is the MB and CPU - all else will be the same. And at the mid range level ($100-$150) AMD would just be cheaper but not by much . Therfore Intel would be my recommendation and just about any mid range board from Asus, Gigabyte, Abit or MSI with a P35 chipset and a E4500 or E6750 would be fine.
You know your budget for the other parts

If you want help speccing out a complete system, you're probably better off posting the general hardware forum. Read the stickies there, then start a new topic which answers the questions in the sticky.

Without knowing how much you intend to spend overall and what the computer is going to be used for, it's really impossible to give a good recommendation.

I'm not saying this to be a pain in the ass, I'm saying it so that you get the best help the forum can give.

Go to the general hardware part of the forum, and read the stickied thread titled "NOTICE - PC builders, when asking for input on YOUR projects Please Tell us..."

Then start a thread in that forum answering each of the questions fully and asking for input on a new setup.
