Hey guys, I'm looking to build my first system. I've upgraded my and my friend's computers several times and helped my friend build my current one a while ago, but wasn't there when he selected the parts, so I'm wondering if you guys could comment on my current setup.
Trying to make a machine that'll do well on games, but can't afford top of the line, so here goes:
Mobo- MSI K8T NEO-FSR
Video- SAPPHIRE ATI RADEON 9800PRO 256MB
Processor- AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2.2GHz
Memory- Crucial 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-2700 (x2)
HDD- Seagate 200GB 7200RPM IDE
thats the basics, got a case and a CD drive of course. Case has a 450W power supply, will that be enough? Power's one thing I'm really unsure of. Also I've been told that it's more efficient to have a small HD for the OS, and the bigger one for all the storage/programs you run.. any special trick other than making the OS disk the master and the other one the slave? And what's the advantage really? Any tips you guys could offer would be a great help.
Also, what's a good LCD flatscreen to look into? Have a SONY SDM-S73/B 17" selected right now, but trying to find out more.
