Dear Anyone,

The problem that i am facing is that, i could not boot my PC. after the BIOS is loaded i get a message as follows 'Building DMI Data Pool'. the computer does not proceeds after that. i have checked various components of my computer such as the cpu, ram, hdd and the power supply unit. they all seem to be working fine. please explain what does the message means and how to fix it. Urgent.

Thank you.

I would check the boot order of devices in the BIOS.

Maybe set it to boot directly off the hard drive and not check other devices just to see if it'll boot.

Last time that happened to me, resetting the BIOS didn't help. What finally did was removing all my PCI cards. Then I would boot, shutdown, add a card. Repeat until all were reinstalled. Somehow the BIOS/DMI couldn't load all the info in one gulp.
