i'm sticking with pc133 cause the uses for this computer is just typing and internet. Moderator can you put this post in the right forums thanks.
 
That motherboard is almost as nice as an ECS. So, if you want a nice wall decoration, sure, its fine.
 
I would suggest you look at that motherboard and cpu combo. The specs for the motherboard say it only supports an Athlon 1800+ CPU, and you have in the list that you are going to order a 2000+. I do not believe this will work.


Also, where are your hard drives and optical drives? (Cd-rw and cd-rom)?


Personally I would get the following if I was on a budget:

Shuttle AN35N Nforce2 motherboard

You can then pick a stick of PC2700 or better DDR Ram. If they get the money in the future they can enable dual channel ddr after installing another stick of memory. Just my 2 cents.
 
Check the MSI site to make it will handle the Thoroughbred 2000+ you plan to use.

Like several others, imho it is a waste of money to go PC133 memory and mobo.

ddr components are available for about the same money, so why sdr?
 
sounds nearly complete; some additions that are good to have on the bench while assembling.

round cables - alot less clutter and improves air flow
additional jumpers - always drop 'em when you need 'em
thumb screws for case and mother board
anti-static wristlet
drive mounted usb and firewire ports - nice to have 'em in the drive bays, if the case doesn't already have 'em in front
thermal grease - should come with processor and fan, but make certain
surge protector
mouse and pad
cheese for the mouse
extra power cord splitters - they're cheap and will save you alot of time if you need one during construction
extra cooling fan - antec usually has pre-mounted fan cages that will improve cooling, just add fan

ps - you kind'a went overboard on the info; do you work for newegg????

Well, you seem determined to go sdr, don't know why.

MSI mobo with 266a chipset is only $4 more, 512mb Samsung ddr 2100 memory $3 more.
 
Go to the MSI website and there's a bios update that will let that motherboard support up to I believe a 2800+ or was it 2600+.
 
Everything should work after you put it together.

Like the other posters, I don't see the point in using PC133.
Especially since there's hardly any price difference, there's no reason to go for crappier stuff when it's the same price for better....even if it's just for internet and general usage.
