I've been using asus board for long time but which board would u guys recommend, i know price for asus is about $25 higher

I would like to try Epox too and over clock just a little.

Also what cpu would be nice that's in price range of $50 -$100?

what memory stick should i get? will it be better to have 2 stick of 256mb or 1 stick of 512mb?

i would get the Epox if i were on budget but i would get the Asus if i wanted the features.
the 2 best overclocking chips under(or around) $100 currently for AMD are the 1700+ and the 2100+ T-Bred B's
i recommend getting 2 sticks of 256Mb to enable dual channel DDR

if I'm right only more feature Asus has is SPDIF and RAID.

but what's dual channel DDR? and how could it increase performance?

found 2 good deals on memory from hot deal forum..

hyperx kingston and crucial...

which would be suitable? pc3000 or pc2700?

dual channel DDR knida works like raid 0. it takes a data block, splits it into 2 and stores it on the coresponding memory on each of the 2 memory modules.
so what you get is double the bandwidth theoratically.
for memory, the choice is up to you, but if you plan to overclock then get the PC3000
