Perhaps pick up a Promise FastTrak RAID controller, and 2 75GXPs instead of just 1, and do a RAID 0 setup.

Also, you could consider getting a digital flat panel, and get the DVI add-on for the G400.

Damn impressive system!

I dunno why you think he should do a RAID set up. Only 2 IDEs don't require it. Have you considered a Maxtor DM+40 or something if you need more space. The price on those are ~$220 a piece. I have 2 in this system and am quite happy. I only use them for storage though. SCSI works better anyhow 😛

P.S.- I have a Matrox Millenium G400 MAX that I have only used since last November or December. The card is great and working perfectly. I wanted to stick a TNT2 in this sys, build another sys with 4X AGP and go for a GeForce2.

Why would you want to go with a 15" LCD? What's the price on that? You could probably get two decent 19" for that and acutally use that dualhead feature. I just bought a Viewsonic PF790 to go with my GS790 and it's great. I had a Viewsonic LCD I bought from Best Buy, just so I could try it out and then return it, and it sucked. Ghosting wasn't horrible, but noticable and I didn't really like playing games on it either.

I think you be playin' games and Matrix' Lobby scene in small program windows while working on that presentation proposal or spreadsheet on annual equivalent on a future project 😉.

BTW. Nice...

"Matrox G400 32MB AGP Dual Head OEM--$175.00"

I would look into getting the Matrox G400 MAX for about the same price. Shop around.
