Alright its been a while since i've had a decent rig and i'm not sure how much info on rigs i'm missing on right now, so I just want other views on these components. (my last one had an unfortunate incident ... just uh... think office space. long story.)

if possible i want all my components off ncix.com (i'm from canada and want a simple order)

OCZ EL PC3200 2GB 2X1GB DDR400 CL2-3-2-5
LG GSA-4163B DVD+RW 16X8X16X DVD-RW 16X6X16 CDRW 40X24X40 DUAL LAYER+R
SEAGATE BARRACUDA 7200.8 250GB SATA W/ NCQ 7200RPM 8MB 8MS X 2 (RAID 0)
Logitech MX518
Saitek Exec Keyboard.
ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe Motherboard
BFG GEFORCE 7800 GTX OC PCI-E 256MB
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Processor S939 Venice 2.2GHZ
ANTEC SUPER LANBOY CASE
Couple Zalman heatsinks (NorthBridge passive and big cpu cooler)
OCZ OCZ45012U-450W MODSTREAM POWER SUPPLY

Now if anyone wants to be a voice of reason here and let me know what i could remove to save money, let me know. vice versa if thereis anything thats garbage let me know ... I can afford this no problem i'm just not sure about the cost (its kinda steep) ... could i get away with a cheap processor (3000+) and keep the 7800? i'm doing gaming on my big screen TV (1080i resolution)

Replace the lg burner with the benq 1640. Its one of the best burners out there and its only like $40 at newegg. If you want to OC than you could get a 3000 venice, switch the mobo to an Epox, MSI, or DFI, and overclock to 3500 speeds. If you prefer not to OC i would still recommened an MSI board over ASUS.

But keep the 3500, OC it, and get a cheaper mobo(Non sli) like the msi neo4 platinum (130 i think at newegg) So many people only get one vid and an sli mobo, but by the time you choose to get another vid card, theres something out there much cheaper than the price of the two cards yet has wayyy better performance.

1. consider another motherboard Epox 9npa+ Ultra
2. move up to a 3700+ San Diego or even a X2 3800+

Everything looks good though, those are just my suggestions.

Dump the Venice. ONly the 3000+ is worth the money and that is only if you're going to overclock it. SD 3700+ would be my single core processor of choice right now. 3800X2 is you can find the $$$

Some people have had issues with the chipset fans on those boards going bad over a few months. I just did a build for a friend with that board. It's been about a month with no issues but I won't be surprised if I get the call. Nice price on a sli board though.

Looks good!

I,ve been using that mobo since it came out last Dec and I love it. I upgraded in May to the SD 3700+ and I highly recommend it, it's plenty fast at stock speeds and a real screamer when overclocked. Mine is currently running at 2.8ghz🙂
