Building a sys any advice?

well I'm planning to build a new system that has optimal overclocking abilities i've been reading here for about 6 months but have yet posted. If any of you are kind enough to offer any advice that would be great. BTW i'm ordering from newegg.com and going to my local fry's.

Get it or not? Any reccomendations

If you haven't noticed I plan to

(35 instead of 33) adapter so I

down without unlocking it but not

up? and should I drop it down 1 to

I got a new 100 GB hd this fall

for 200 afdter rebate so all I'm

really needing to upgrade is my

sound, dvd drive, cdrw and maybe a

second smaller HD. I coulg get

some stuff at my local fryies

which would cost me about 250-300

for a 40 gb 7200 HD 24x10x40 sony

writer 16x Dvd drive and maybe a

SB plat should I get this too?

the only thing i would think about are the fans...that delta is going to be loud as hell, you can put a panaflo L1A on there and be pretty much silent and still get good cooling. or at least a compromise. you should think long and hard before getting a delta! also, the thermaltake fans, i dont know how great those are, but panaflo L1A's are awesome, silent and still decent cooling (24 or 28 cfm i dont remember) and they are 2.50 at mpja.com. and then the enermax blower, is that a pci slot cooler? those have been proven to not work all that well, you might want to just get a regular fan and try to mount it above that area if possible.

Epox boards and Enermax PSU's are sometimes reported to not play well together. I'd get an Antec SX1040 case just for the quality of case - the included Antec PSU is a nice bonus. The 400W model has an adjustable pot for the 5V rail as well, which could be handy if you're going for an extreme overclock.

Just why the hell do you have to type like that. Thats so annoying. Kingmax tinybga should be able to pull out 166cas2 just as easily. Ocing to 175+ fsb might be pushing it. By the way, dont type like that. It's so damn annoying.

Yeah, what's the deal with posting with that type? Very difficult to read.
I like the panaflo fans too. I prefer the h1a over the l1a, though. You can mount these 80mm panaflos by turning them 45 degrees on that SK6. Be careful though as you may not be able to use a grill. Don't let any body parts or wires get into the fan! :Q I also like the 400W antec supplies. The PP403X model has a 3-pin connector you can mount to a fan header on the mobo and monitor thru the BIOS. 🙂 And, yeah, 175+ FSB? Good luck! You can't adjust the mulitplier up or down without unlocking it.
