I am planning on building a powered sub, using the NHT1259 driver and KG-5230 amplifier.

My basic design will be much like this: example

I've already looked through most of this site, but is there any more material that would be useful?

Any specific reason for that design?
Tips:
Measure twice, cut once. It's old advice but saves time and materials.
I am sure you know this but your box needs to be very sturdy and tight.

make sure you keep us posted on wahtever you do(or me at least) i'd love to see how things turn out, so far i've built a set of speakers and a sub to match.......

40-18k not too deep, but they sound very clear, i use 'em on my computer, it was pretty cheap to build(i didn't use high quality drivers) but eventually i'll make some more(since it was fun and the outcome was amazing)

good luck!

Fiberglass batts make wonderful acoustic filling. Just make sure you don't get it on your skin.
