Ok, i decided to use my current system as the server, and I'm getting a centrino notebook as my workstation.

I'm going to use win2003 with coldfusion mx server, and other techs.

However this is going to be a personal server but other use to it.

1)Can i run the server as a hosting server, but also as a domain server with print/file sharing/and DHCP to give IP to the whole house?

2)I think so, but how much performance hit am I geting?

3)System:
Asus 7n8x nforce 2 2.0
athlo 2100 at 2600stable (166mhz bus)- it hits about 3100-3200 easy, but the vcore is high, and i don't want to buy a new heatsink.
1 gig of 2x5120 crucial pc2700 ram at 166mhz
G4 4200 with 2 monitors
2 ethernet ports built in the MB
1 100gig 8MB wd 7200 drive
dvd drive
cd -r drive for backup
zip drive
floppy
built in audio

4)what kind of partition should i make?

5)i currently use this for dhcping the house:
cable modem ---> router --->1 port the computer, the other port to a phoneline bridge, which makes the whole house networkable.
Can i use both nics in the MB to have 1 nic as the cable modem input, and the other outputting the IP to a switch, and one port of the switch to the phoneline system?
I currently have dynamic IP, but i'm going to upgrade for static IP so i can run with less problems the server.

Is domain system worth it? or just keep the workgroup?
More questions to come

Why the hell are you sacrificing this machine to the boredom-ridden life of a personal server? :Q

It's an nForce2/gF4 combo with a GB of RAM. That thing should be gaming.
