So before I go as far as water cooling I might as well try this. The noise dosen't bother me so much while I'm playing games and things like that but when I would like to listin to music it really does.

Anyway, I was talking with a fellow at the local radioshack about switches to control the speed of a fan and he pointed me towards a behemiouth (spelling) of a switch that he called at 'pot' switch. It wasen't so big but it had a large metal rod that you spin about 3 inches long, I'm wondering where I can find something like the switch that is used on the pcmods.com rheobus. Something with a nifty little dial type thing... Anyone?

You can buy the rheobus (ultra-powerful version of baybus, which is also avaible at the site I will mention in a moment) here.

Just make sure you get a rheostat (not Potentiometer) that is adequate for your fan. If you're using a 5W fan, make sure to get at least a 5W Rheostat. Don't use a 3W rheo on a 5W fan. Radio shack sells some 3W's, but the higher wattage ones are much more expensive. I'd use LM317's to control my fans. Only about $3-4 per fan using LM317's as opposed to $5-30 per fan using rheos
