Hello AT users,

This is my first time wanting to build a computer instead of just buying it stock just because i've been very limited with upgradability and performance after 6 months with a stock comp. (aka.. my sony vaio 1.5ghz)

While i have a AGP gfx card (ATI Radeon 9800TX 128MB) and i don't feel the need to have to blow another couple hundred dollars to buy a PCIe GFX. Which brings me to the computer hardware specifics i have chosen below;

[ motherboard ]

ASRock 939DUAL-SATA2 ATX S939 ULI M1695 DDR AGP PCI-E16 3PCI SATA RAID Sound Lan
= $95.00

[ cpu ]

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Dual Core Processor S939 Manchester 2Ghz 512KBX2 90NM
= $433.00

[ memory ]

OCZ EL PC3200 1GB 2X512MB DDR400 CL2-3-2-6 184PIN DIMM Dual Channel Memory Kit W/ Ramsink
= $168.00

[ psu.case ]

TURBO CASE X-ALIEN 21IN YELLOW ALUMINUM CASE 420W W/ SIDE WINDOW & LED FANS
= $171.00

All prices are from atix.com

Now being a newbie in building computers, i would really appreciate if someone could check this configuration for me. I don't want to end up with non-compatible ram. So my concern is wille verything fit and function? The ram with the mobo and the cpu along with the tower/power? (is it enough power?)

Thanks you in advance for reading :)

What kind of PSU is in that case? Either way, 420W looks a bit low. See if they have an upgrade (especially with a good name brand).

The power supply that's included in the case is; ATXA7AW/420-YL

If that PSU is not good, what brand PSU should i be looking for and how much W?

Thanks.

also, should i look into getting a MOBO that has a PSU in it allready or buy both separately?

How about a Seasonic, Antec, Enermax or Fortron power supply in the 450W+ range, Newegg has the 450W Fortron for US$50 for example.
