Building a PC - Need step-by-step instructions

Is there a site that gives you some clear step-by-step instructions on building a PC (mainly partitioning HD, install OS) and what to do if you run into problems. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

Michel

Good luck with that one. Yes there are some sites thaat offer this ifo but remember these sites want to hold users so they do notwabt to bore you by going overly in depth on the processes. Your best bet is to go to the book store and get one of those "Pc's repair and Upgrade for Dummies" books,I used it to build my system. Also if you run into trouble installing your os and you already have a computer Try "Norton Ghost" or Quest "Drive Copy" They will make a copy of all your data from one HD to the other. I used this to get an operating system on a new hd and then I simply did a clean install of Win2k erasing all the old data. Runs like a charm. Good luck.

Anand wrote one last year (I think, time flies) do a search for it among the articles he has written

the advice i would give you is this, do a little research specially on compatibility issues but other than that, just dive on head first and if you run into anything posted here, and more than likely someone will help you.

as for OS and hd partitions, do a search on these forums (OS, software, and tech support) there is a million threads dealing with this.
