Building a new system, anything I should change?

Building a new rig and am going for about the best I can cause I know I won't get to upgrade for a few years after this so I am taking advantage of it now.

Just looking to see if there's anything I should change/add whatever. The rig has two purposes, gaming and rendering. Main software I'll be using is Maya and Photosho and a slew of other 3D packages.
I'll be getting Vista to run this on.
I have no interest in overclocking either.

CPU: Intel Core 2 Extremem QX6700
MB: EVGA 122-CK-NF68-AR nForce 680i
Video: EVGA 8800GTX x2
Memory: Geil DDR2 800 x2
PSU: BFG Tech 1000W
HD: WD Raptor 150GB x2
Case: Lian Li Full Tower case
Sound: Creative X-Fi Xtreme Audio

Even though they are pretty expensive right now, I am bouncing the idea around of a blu-ray burner. Newegg has a Phillips one that seems like it would be a better "deal" though I haven't found any info on it anywhere.

If I don't go with a blu-ray burner then I'll just grab a dvd burner. Everything else ill be using from my current PC (320GB Sata2 HD, 16x DVD drive, Monitors, KB/M, etc)

Anyways thanks for looking it over and I appricate any suggestions

If you're getting the X-Fi for gaming, you should probably avoid the Xtreme Audio since it does not have EAX support like the others.

You don't need a 1000watt PSU for that rig.

Thanks, I didn't know that about the X-fi, I'll switch that out then.
How many watts should I be looking at for this then?

There is a question about Vista, the 8800, SLI, and drivers floating around in Video (with the normal freaking fanboy noise). You may want to torture yourself and read some of the threads there.

Kick butt system. XP should be fine until you get Vista. You may need to wait a month or two to get drivers sorted out.

PSU? Silverstone ST56ZF, 560W or ST75ZF, 750W.
Both are built by Etasis and are tier #1 power supplies for sure.

Avoid BFG, Mushkin and Thermaltake PSUs.

That BFG PSU isn`t to highly resecpted on other forums in fact here is what somebody said about that PSU...
At that price you can be sure that it's lowest quality design made by lowest quality manufacturer from components which failed lowest quality standards.

Good Luck!! There are quite a few 1000watters around. I would not pick that brand.
Go to jonnyGURU`s site and have a look around...
