Hey guys,

Figured it'd probably be a good idea to shoot this out to you all for some advice, as all the past advice I've gotten has been more than helpful.

I just ran into a little bit of money, and since my old computer has been dead for a little while (she's about 4+ years old now), I figured rather than upgrading parts I'd just build a brand new rig.

I need the following items:
-Case
-Power Supply
-Motherboard
-Processor
-Memory
-Graphics Card
-HDD
-DVD Player/CD Burner (either two separate units or a combo drive)

This rig's for home/college use, mostly to do homework, surf the net a bit, and of course get in some good hours of gaming. I've got a few peripherals that I've already gotten (TV Tuner, Wireless Mouse/Keyboard, Monitor).

What I'd like is suggestions for what you would think would be the "biggest bang for your buck". I've got about $1000 to spend, but I'd prefer to have this rig cost anywhere near the $500-$700 range, give or take a hundred bucks.

So I guess what I'm saying is, if you had the money, what would you spend it on for the above?
