hey guys..im building a new pc..and i think ive made my decision...im gonna go with asus p5w dh deluxe for a mobo, intel conroe e6600 for cpu....ram undecided yet, but definetly 2gb, probably ati X1900XT, and i still need to decide a pws and case..i am keeping my hard drive+cd-rw+dvd drive. so my questions is here...im 14 and i have a job..i get paid approximately 240 every 2 weeks..do u guys think i should buy the pc part by part with every paycheck or should i save up and wait until i can buy all at once?..i am asking this because i will probably spend the money unless i get the pc part by part, but on the other side, the prices could go down by the time im donw saving up...WHAT SHOULD I DO?..and any suggestions for pws, case, ran, ect. would be great!

you should probably save up your money. That way you'll play less for shipping. I'm in a similar situation, I probably get paid about that much for teaching swim lessons. This is what you should do: enhance 5150gh for the psu, lian li pc7b+II for the case, gskill ddr2-800 2x1gb for the RAM, and viewsonic vx2025 for the monitor. That's what I'm going with too. Probably the best bang for buck on all those components. Comes out to ~$650 so you could be saving up for a month and a half. By that time the price of the comonents will have gone down as well. Remember: if you buy all the parts a week or two apart, you could find yourself upset that the product you bought the week before is now $50 less!😀 Good luck!

lol thanks, but first of all i dont need a monitor lol i have one...and the total is gonna be a little more than a grand fr me since i gotta buy the mobo+cpu+video too...thanks though ill consider the ram, case, and the psu =]

Learn to save up for the things you want. That will serve you well later in life as well. Take one of your parents to the bank and open a savings account. Put your money in that account until you have enough to buy all of the parts. By then, you'll most likely be able to get higher-quality components for the same money.

Probably the best advice I've seen on this site. 🙂
