General college dorm use... as in porn, illegal music, and the occaissional video game? That system will do nicely :). You gonna use low speed fans right? Living with a computer in my dorm for several years impressed on me the need for silence (I like to leave the comp on 24/7). Also, how loud is the PSU?

Looks nice. I'm ignorant on that brand of memory and maybe you could spend a bit more and get a 9800 pro? Prices are dropping on them pretty nicely. Also, why do you need a modem?

350 watts is plenty. Also, why do you have both a dvd and a dvd-r drive? just get the writer unless you copy a LOT of dvd's...

I don't really play games that often, so I didn't think it was worth it to pay a hundred more for the 9800 AIW. The modem is only $10 so I figured I would throw it in.

I am getting a DVD-ROM in addition to the writer because I figure it is good to use the less expensive drive for general use and not wear out the expensive one.

By the time you wear out the DVD writer, they will be really cheap or you will have already replaced it or the entire system, unless you play DVDs almost constantly.
