1. I'm building a PC for gaming (WOW, Overwatch, Black Ops 4, Fortnite). Some browsing and light photoshop stuff.

2. I want to spend less than $3k

3. I'm in the USA

5. I'm not a fanboy. The past couple of builds have been Intel and I liked that they were quiet with the stock HSF.

6. I'm replacing everything except the mouse and keyboard. I'm going to retire my very old Dell 2405 monitor and get a new one in this build.

7. I don't really care to overclock unless its just a set and forget during the installation.

8 I'm coming from and old 1920x1200@60hz so I wanted to try 2560x1440 @ something > 60Hz.

9. I'm going to build it right away.

10. I'll need Windows 10

I want built in additional HDMI output on integrated video for one of the graphics tablets (WaCom Cintiq) my daughter uses with Photoshop since it uses HDMI. 3TB of storage for my 2TB of documents. I don't need speakers. I will use my existing USB headset.

I read around and looked at other builds and put this together. Seems like the popular set of items. I have never tried the liquid cooling, I hope that is simpler than just a fan?

Nothing stands out as wrong. I don't do water cooling, so I can't give any advice on that.

The only thing I can think of is suggesting a platinum PSU, like the Focus Plus Platinum or Prime Platinum for a few bucks more (after mail-in-rebates) since it's more efficient and has a longer warranty. Outside of that, everything looks good.

Thanks for considering Seagate! Please feel free to ask us if you think of any questions concerning the HDD.

If not overclocking, the i7-8700 has the same stock performance as the i7-8700k https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117826&cm_re=8700-_-19-117-826-_-Product for a tad bit less..

Your CLC watercooling choice is relatively simple to configure (A little more involved than an air cooler, but not by much), but if you are not comfortable with it you could always go for a "be quiet! Dark rock 4" https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=9SIA68V6Y56870 for about the same money and a tad bit quieter operation.
