Hi,
I am currently bulding a new system with the following components:

-E6300 Processor
-ATI AIW XT1900 ( Dont play much games but really want the TV tuner capabilities and outputs).
-Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB Hard Drive

I would really like to make this computer fairly silent and have the option of Overclocking in the future but only mild and it is not a priority.

The case I chose is a Coolermaster 534 but this is flexible.

I can not decide on the Mobo. I was going ot get a Gygabyte 965P DS3 but i Read that it only has support for two fans. Any other ideas?

Taking into consideration a quiet PC and not getting too complicated does anyone have any suggestions for this build (Cooling, Mobo to support cooling and mild Oc'ing?) I dont want a liquid cooled system but would like the fan noise to be minimal.

Thanks.

Depending on the games you play, you could probably get a different gfx card and a separate TV tuner. Look at the PVR150/350 or the Theater550 cards. Maybe put a fanless heatsink on the processor and have good case cooling.

A Seasonic PSU if you want quiet. S12s don't have modular cables and are cheaper then the M12s. A S12 430W would be good for your parts. Just a FYI, a Antec P180 would probably more quiet then a Coolermaster. Nexus and the Scythe S-Flex fans are very quiet you should probably check 'em out.

Buy what you need now and be happy.

Some items are priced too high like RAM. Get 1GB and later when prices get affordable, get more.

I would look at the sonata 2 case....very silent....Actually used to run a buddies E6300 @3.4ghz(brief period of time) and 2.8ghz (24/7)....

I would recommend geting at least 667ddr2 if not 800ddr2....

I've built several very quiet machines so I'll give you some pointers regarding the hardware you are looking at.

The Gygabyte 965P DS3 is a solid board, and is passively cooled but I believe that it can only control the CPU fan header and then possibly only 4 pin PWM fans. If you were looking to control more then the CPU fan the higher-end Asus boards can control the CPU fan (4-pin or 3-pin) in addition to several system fans.

If you decide to go with the x1900 XT you'll want to replace the stock HS/F with a better/quieter option; the Zalman VF-900 is probably the best option.

As for the case; I'm not much of a fan of the Centurion 534. You can check out the Antec Solo for something equivalent in features but better in quality. Or if you want something a bit upper class check out the Lian Li PC-7B.

For the PSU I would go with the 330 watt Seasonic S12.
