Hey, was planning to build a new computer used for nothing too serious, just a bit of gaming, processing etc, i have about $800 - $1000 to spend, but i've been out of the loop for a bit so i dont know whats what nowdays! what would u people suggest? any responses appreciated!

thats the thing though i wouldnt know where to start... here, im still running a athlon 1000 with 512MB! so thats how long i've been out of touch, i saw a midrange buying guide on AT somewhere the other day but now i cant find it?


EDIT: I found that buyers guide that should be ok, would say thanks for ur replies but... :laugh:
