Planned rig:

AMD64 3000+
ASUS K8N SE Deluxe
512MB PC3200 Generic Crap
<< need graphics card recommendation >>
80GB HD + his current HD's transfered over
52X CD Burner
4X Liteon DVD Burner
Antec SLK1600AMB Case w/ 300W Antec SmartPower PSU

So that's pretty much it.

I need a graphics card suggestion. It has to be inexpensive, he doesn't play any games (unless you consider Yahoo! Hearts and Elf Bowling as games), so I'm just looking for the cheapest AGP graphics card (used/new, retail/oem) I can get.

Ideas? Suggestions?

52X CD Burner
4X Liteon DVD Burner

I'd go with a NEC 3500A. They're only $65 shipped at Newegg. I can't even find a 4x, or even an 8x Lite-On burner at Newegg, but I can't imagine them being more than $10 cheaper.

If he's using a flat screen get a card with a DVI. IMHO you should get the cheapest ATi card as they have a slight edge over nVidia in 2D.
