Well, I order one of the Dell XPS 700's the first of July and it hasn't moved yet. So I'm just going to cancel my order and build a new one. I already have a very nice case and a DVD-RW. I want to build a new Intel Duo Core system, but I want to make sure everything is compatible. Below is what I'm looking at getting.

CPU - Intel Conroe E6600 Core 2 Duo Processor 2.4GHz

Motherboard - ASUS P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe

Memory - 2GB DDR2 800MHz Corsair XMS2 TWIN2X2048-6400C4 (2x1GB)

Hard Drive - Western Digital SE16 400GB SATA (got it)

Video Card - BFG GeForce 7950GX 1GB PCI-Express

Sound Card - Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic

Case - SilverStone TJ03

PowerSupply - SILVERSTONE ZEUS SST-ST65ZF 650W

Yep that's a good build, but i'm unsure about the motherboard (thought they weren't compatible), think about the Gigabyte P965 DS3, it seems to be the defacto Core 2 OCing board of choice.

ASUS listed the board on their site as compatible. I'm not going to overclock any.

In which case don't get it, you're spending $250 on a motherboard that will do nothing more for you than a $140 board will.

Does anyone know when the new Nvidia 590 motherboards are going to be avaliable?

A 620W seems a little bit of an overkill with your system. You could drop down to a 450-500W system and still be okay, while saving some money.

As for the motherboard, it looks to have been out for a little while. Semms a little pricey for a motherboard at $200. But anyway you can look for yourself. Here it is on Newegg.

That's the AMD verison of the board, I'm looking for the Intel verison.

The Nforce 590 based Intel boards aren't in retail channels yet that I've found. Shouldn't be long. Maybe end of the month.

I'd wait for a review on them vs the Intel board before deciding.
