Check out the CPU an Overclocking forum before you decide on an Athlon.

Excellent hard drive

And you might want to check out what people are saying about the GeForce 4's, you might decide to get a 4200 or 4400 and save some money. That's a lot of money to spend on a video card.

Good sound card. I've got that DVD-ROM, you won't regret it.

Good god that's a lot of money! Good stuff though!

Sam1230, looks like an incrediable setup :) Personally, I would choose a slower XP CPU to save some cash as buying the latest CPU isn't always the best as you pay a premium for it. Just my .02¢ :)

I would consider going a little slower and cheaper on the processor, video card, and cdrw, and going with a 21"monitor. You might not notice much difference between 2000+ and 2200+ or between 4400 and 4600, or 48X and 32X, but I think you might enjoy the bigger screen.

Absolutely, trust me, you will never regret going to a 21" monitor. After you have it, you will think how could people live with 17" or smaller screens.
