building a internet box but ran into a wall
I was going just fine, installed/updated windows, drivers, softwares etc... almost done, only thing left was to connect case front USB/Audio cables to the motherboard
I had to play around a bit cause case cables and motherboard manual didn't match, turning computer on and off when ever I need to check and change connectors
then all the sudden computer doesn't boot
it powers up, fans, drives running but nothing shows up on screen
did not do anything to fry up the board

tried CMOS reseting
bare booting out side the box
thought maybe onboard video so tried sticking in video card, still....
nothing helps

ECS GEFORCE6100SM-M2
X2 3800+
OCZ 2x 1gb gold
250gb sata drive
dvd burner
no fans except AMD stock cooler

because I'm using micro box I had to get 350w matx psu, but should be enough to power above right?

I'm assuming that when you tried it outside the case that the FP USB and Audio cables were not connected.

If so, it sure does sound like you fried the board. I would try disabling USB and Audio in the BIOS. I don't think this is going to make it boot though but it is worth a try.

I see no problems with that size PS for your system. Others will vigorously disagree. Remember, it was running.

FWIW, you really need to make sure those FP ports are correct before plugging anything into them.

Sorry for your loss.

disconnect all the plugs for the Front Panel audio and usb, as well as the Front Panel switches. manually turn on the system by temporarily contacting the 2 power switch contacts on the motherboard.
