Building a new comp

I got a great deal from microcenter on an Intel 8400 (retail and stepping E0) but I need to match it with a couple other components.

What I have and won't be changing -
Intel 8400 CPU

What I have in mind but may change -
Corsair 620W PSU
Antec 900 or Antec 1200 case

What I am indecisive on-
Motherboard and video card.

I play games and surf the internet. Sometimes I delve into photoshop and some music programs but not enough to make a difference.

My first question is whether I want/need SLI/CF. I don't care about max settings but I don't like playing on low or medium low.

My budget for a motherboard is in the neighborhood of $150, as is my video card budget. My initial thought on a video card is either an 8800 GT or a 4850.

Thanks for your time.

Could get something like Asus P5Q Pro for motherboard ($119.99 on newegg) or Gigabyte EP45-DS3L for $89.99 AR.
HD 4850 512 mb is great for its price.
That PSU is selling for $129.99 AR on ZZF if I recall correctly.

another good motherboard is the GA-EP45-DS3L. Also the graphics card you choose also depends on what size monitor your running. But if your going to do a 22" or less i would recomend a 9800gtx

It is the new Ultra Durable 3 with copper in the PCB.
