This is what I'm thinking of doing:
Current box is:
Enlight Case 300W PSU
Iwill KK266
T-bird 1.2C
512 Crucial Ram
Gainward GF2 450Pro
40 GB 60GXP
Win 2K
Toshiba 16X DVD
Pelextor 16x CD/RW
Lynksys 10/100nNIC
Actiontec 56K v.90 ISA Modem
This is what I want to do:
Buy a ASUS Terminator AMD Bare bones box it comes with a 52x CD/ROM, Savage 2D/3D AGP,10/100NIC and on board sound.
Take the T-Bird 1.2C and use it here.
Install the 512 Crucial Ram that I bought in December I have on the shelf.
Install a 5.1 GB Quantum 5400 RPM drive I have. (I bought a copy of Norton Ghost to copy the stuff that is on the 40GXP to the 5.1 before I put in the new box. I have never used Ghost will it clear the Win98 and files that are on it?)
Install the Win 2K and the programs my wife uses.
This will now be her box and it will be used for office and word programs and surfing the net. What can I say she does like to play Solitare......
And Now for the big questions as to what to put into my new game box:

T-bird 1.2C (Removed, I'm thinking of a Athlon 1600XP to replace it with. I have to flash the BIOS first)
512 Crucial Ram ( Upgrade with another 512 I bought in December)
Gainward GF2 450Pro
40 GB 60GXP (fdisk and install brand new Win98SE that should be here this week)
Win 2K (remove this POS with the fdisk)
Toshiba 16X DVD
Pelextor 16x CD/RW
Lynksys 10/100nNIC
Actiontec 56K v.90 ISA Modem
Sound? I'm using the on board sound now and it seems to work well but I like the z560's.
This box will be for games, CD burning and surfing the net. I have the house networked with DSL from PacBell.
What do you think? Your comments and suggestions are needed.
