Thanks for the input, folks.

I decided to go with a 600w psu, for about $120. Brand: Xion

Hate to change the subject, but why do some members here behave like flaming pricks? I ask a simple question, and I get insulted.

quote from bob4432 - they are impressed with bling and have no reasoning skills - what do you expect?

quote from GeeFizzleDizzle - Talk about stupid. I wonder what the over/under would be on the time it takes for the OP to be back on here whining that his system is borked and he can't figure out why.

flaming pricks...mm that is a new one - you wonder why you get insulted -
- you are a self admitting pirate
- you buy computer equipment, overpriced, based on looks
- you base buying decisions on rumors
- you buy stuff from ebay for not much better than full retail/full warraty prices, actually you buy a lot of stuff used and without warranty for not much less than retail through newegg w/ full warrany
- you buy a w/c kit that is more than likely not as good as the newest thermalright or tuniq hs and is probably louder than either

should i go on??

Because you're obviously an idiot who just spent $120 on a crap PSU when the same amount of money could have gone towards a more reliable brand. There's a first time for everything and just because your last crap PSU didn't give you problems doesn't mean this one won't.

As another poster made reference to, if you're going to spend that kind of money on a PSU why not get the most reliable brand? If you were only willing to spend $20-$30 on a crap PSU then so be it...you get what you pay for. But to spend $120 on a crap PSU is just idiotic.

But you wonder why you get insulted.

Since you're spending that much anyway, why risk such expensive other components by buying an off brand? I understand why people do that with low end computers, but why, oh why, didn't you buy this???
