Building a Hosting Server

Hi, up to date I´m paying hosting. But I want to pay a housing, this means make my own server and leave it in the hosting company server room. It´s for a 3000 visits per day site, that´s based on postnuke. The name server, and email server would be in another machine, this will have only the database. It will be running linux.

I have to options:

Buy a budget AMD. Something like an ECS K7S5A, with a crappy VGA, a 40gb IDE HD, Athlon 1800+, 512mb RAM

Buy a used Dual P3. Something like an Intel mobo, 2 P3 500mhz, 2 SCSI 9gb HD, 512mb RAM

Any thoughts?
Should I build something more powerful? I don´t want to build a P4 because it doesn´t come in the budget.

Greetings!
