Building a home server - MB with remote management?

I'm building a home file server that will also host a couple VM's etc

I've heard about various consumer motherboards with lights out management, but have zero first hand experience.

Any recommendations?

The two I'm looking at are the Mini-ITX SuperMicro boards or something like the Intel DQ45EK with vPro
