I was planning to hold out until gtx200b was released and jumping on the price cuts as a result of it but with the deal on the gtx260 oc, I decided to build my rig earlier.
1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
Mostly Gaming & general use... Games I'm planning to play on my pc include Farcry 2, Bioshock, Crysis Warhead, Fallout 3, Oblivion, and The Orange Box to name a few
2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
I pretty much want to get a "bang for your buck" PC, but anything around $1,000 would be neat but willing to go over to meet price/performance.
3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
US of A
4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc, etc, etc, you get the picture.
None whatsoever.
5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
- I recently jumped on a GTX 260 Superclocked for $225 (inc. rebates).
- 24" LCD
- Keyboard/mouse, speakers.
- I have a IDE disc drive, don't know if I should go sata.
6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.
I've been lurking most of the time but I found the Attention System Builders thread to be of great assistance and managed to layout a few things.
-Case: Don't know which of the two to pick, my two main priorities are airflow and space, I want both the gtx 260 and the cpu heatsink to fit (listed further below).

I'm planning to start to overclock with this system.
8. WHEN do you plan to build it?
ASAP.
