Yeah it's that warm in most of the US too in the summer but the majority of people have AC so they're talking indoors.

98F isn't that crazy, we regularly get temps like that in summer.
we are talking about INSIDE the house in a closed in space. again if its 98 F in your house then you sure arent going to sit down and play games. in the summer its about 90 F in our loft office and no one can even stand to be up there more than few minutes. we have have been without power in the summer before and hit temps of low 90s on the main level and nobody wanted to do anything but just sit still and drink cold beverages.

Ahh.... I must've not read it properly. Yeah, I can't imagine it was too pleasant.
